Job Overview
The HRBP will be responsible for a specific area of function for the
successful delivery of HR programs and policies; responsible for managing budgets, timescales, and projects; and may also provide support and
advice to respective Line Managers across the business franchise. The role potentially involves leading a small team of specialists to support the
Senior HRBP in translating and implementing the GBU/Franchise/Unit’s
Business plans in the form of company-wide strategy; as well as acting as a liaison between the client and HR CoE and HR SBS, etc.

Job Responsibilities

  • HR Strategy & Planning
    • Work closely with Franchise/BU Head/Leadership team and support the implementation of
      their business plan, highlighting potential HR-related business opportunities or development
      needs
    • Proactively build and establish strong relationships with client groups as well as extended HR
      global community to understand needs, requirements, and challenges
    • Provide change management support to transformation and restructuring efforts as a change agent
    • Support and execute tactical/strategic workforce planning in alignment with the client's
      business plan
    • Support budget planning and discussions with finance BP
    • Ensure recruiting and retention of “best-in-class” talent for critical positions

  • People & Organization
    • Advise Line Managers on effective performance management and resourcing decisions: drive
      Talent Review on the respective franchise, succession planning, and talent management, in
      close cooperation with the respective HR experts, such as TA, TM, OD, LD
    • Support cultural change and foster Diversity and Inclusion within GBU
    • Support Line Manages in coaching, mentoring, and individual development within their team
    • Ensure effective training and development, learning priorities, guidelines, and act as a channel to communicate learning needs to the appropriate specialist unit

  • Monitor & Control
    • Contribute to PEx(Personal Expense) planning, performing periodic cost and productivity
      analysis to collaborate with Finance BP and Business leaders in maintaining workforce budgets
    • Lead and participate in HR respective project
    • Ensure adherence to relevant labor and employment law
    • Ensure compliance with the legal framework and SOX requirements
    • Lead and help coordinate procedures and create precise SOP with technology solutions to
      improve data management
    • Compile specified HR KPI date
Skills and Qualifications

  • 3 years of relevant HR work experience with at least 2 years experience in a directly related HR capacity such as HRBP, Organization design, Change management, Organization/Talent
    Development, Leadership Development, and/or Talent Management, HR project lead
  • Desire to grow and develop employees in a global and matrixed business environment/multi-
    national companies
  • Demonstrable experience in analyzing business issues and providing scalable HRB solutions
  • Strong solution focus, problem-solving skills
  • Strong business acumen and people acumen, as well as consulting and facilitation skills
  • Ability to manage ambiguity and resolve caseload of sensitive employee matters
  • Strong data-driven, systems-thinking ability
  • Demonstrated knowledge of HR law in Japan
  • Good x-functional collaboration communication, negotiation, interpersonal skills
  • Ability to have difficult, nuanced conversations with clarity, empathy, and focus on the employee experience
  • Education: BS degree required
  • Fluent in Japanese and business English
