Job Responsibilities

As the Head of Publishing and Marketing, you will be the most significant leader and founder
within the Japan business unit, focused on the establishment and enhancement of the company’s commercial & marketing strategies and activities that result in increased users, engagement, and
revenues. Specific responsibilities are as follows:

  • Establish the head office of Marketing and Publishing for Japan from the ground up
  • Build strong relationships with different internal studios, stakeholders, and regional external
    publishing channels to help achieve common strategic marketing and publishing vision, fulfill the role as the central point of contact for all marketing & publishing centric execution requests and
    initiatives;
  • Help define go-to-market strategy and drive sign-off from leadership to ensure on-schedule and on-quality marketing execution
  • Provide global stakeholder overviews and roadmaps from the company's headquarters back into local studios, allowing for feedback & input that ensures alignment on the formulation of world-
    class, scalable campaign planning and execution of initiatives
  • Lead and enhance the internal studio’s marketing meeting framework that best supports the go-to-market strategy and implementation across multiple game products (including Brand, Product Planning, Marketing, Product Management, Live Ops, Partnerships, Community & Competitive
    Gaming)
  • Engage in high-level conversations involving budgets, deliverables, and collaboration between
    various studios
  • Be the subject-matter expert when it comes to developer/marketing relationships process and
    engagement logistics

Skills and Qualifications

  • Proven experience within the game or digital entertainment services industry
  • Strong understanding of game publishing and operations within the Japan region
  • A deep understanding of the International Market landscape & cultural nuances, with the ability
    to detail key regions & game consumer groups within those markets
  • Exceptional organizational, analytical & reporting skills
  • Experience in external partner relationship management
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to work in a multinational and diverse market
  • A decent team player with a strong ability to cooperate and work with remote cross-functional
    teams
  • Practical knowledge of Console and Mobile centric marketing tools, platforms, and channels
  • Passion for video games and the entertainment industry
